In 1888 the famed Archaeologist Flinders Petrie, tunnelled his way into the most heavily fortified pyramid of the ancient world – the tomb of the great Amenemhat the 3rd. To get there, Petrie had bypassed the most sophisticated ancient anti-theft technology ever devised by boring a tunnel directly into the heart of the pyramid.
